Akoya x Cnes : Strategic Workforce Planning

Download our summary

During this sixth round table, which took place on January 22nd, we had the honor and pleasure of welcoming Liliane Sebas, Director of Change Management at Cnes, and Michel Delanoue, Deputy Director of Human Resources Development for Cnes.

The National Center for Space Studies (CNES) employs approximately 2,400 people, more than 90% of whom are highly qualified engineers and managers, with a wide range of expertise. A pioneer in the space sector, Cnes has been undergoing a series of changes over the past few years, which have led the institution to conduct a Strategic Worforce Planning (SWP) exercise.

We obviously wanted to know everything about their approach to SWP and the development of concrete actions to safeguard or develop Cnes’ skills in this context of rapid change in its ecosystem.

You will find in this report the main points of discussion concerning the implementation of the SWP for Cnes: how did SWP become a basis for work between HR and operational departments? How was this collaborative approach implemented to engage all stakeholders? What key competencies were identified, and how were they readjusted? And finally, how has this process been structural for HR?

We would like to point out that Cnes has been an Akoya customer for several years and that our aerospace and defense expert Xavier Le Page has been assisting them with their questions on SWP-related topics.
